Bench Sponsorship Project
The Wellsville Community Foundation Bench Project offers individuals the opportunity to sponsor a bench—on Riverside or at Hammond Park— that includes a permanent engraved plaque, which can be a memorial to a loved one, a quote, an advertisement or simply a name.

Clean Streets Initiative
The Foundation first turned its attention to beautifying the streets of downtown Wellsville. An enthusiastic volunteer crew came together to remove debris, pick up litter, and tidy up the curbs. The success of this early effort has made it a much anticipated annual event.

Church of the Ascension Redevelopment
WCF envisions the church as a future community and cultural center for the Village. There is much work to be done to make that happen - it lacks heating, and plumbing, and needs many basic upgrades. We are currently in the planning phase on this exciting project, and look forward to welcoming Villagers to participate by rolling up their sleeves on the renovation and supporting the fundraising goals to make this transformation possible.

Wellsville Marina Revitalization
The once vibrant Village marina is being brought back to life by the vision and sweat of WCF board members and local residents. Come join us for the cleanup, and help support the effort by picking up a shovel or making a contribution to see the marina once again become a popular recreational destination.

"Make it Happen" Committee
The Capstone report produced by Youngstown University identified numerous opportunities for reinvestment and redevelopment in the Village. The mayor has convened a special committee, the “Make it Happen” committee, to turn those ideas into action. WCF believes this is a perfect opportunity for a public-private partnership, and is represented on the committee by Board Member David Thompson.
